Police Seek Public Help to Find Missing Teen

Police Appeal for Help to Find Missing 19-Year-Old

The South African Police Service in Ngcobo is appealing to the public for assistance in locating 19-year-old Linamandla Buhle Xhosana from Luhewini Administration Area, Xuka Locality, who has been missing since 11 October 2025.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the Provincial Commissioner, Xhosana was last seen wearing a long black dress, black Crocs shoes, and a black doek. She was reported missing to the Ngcobo Police Station on 13 October 2025.

Following her disappearance, members of the Ngcobo Visible Policing Unit, the K9 (Search and Rescue) Unit, and local community volunteers launched an extensive search. Despite their efforts, Xhosana has not yet been found, and the search remains ongoing.

Authorities have confirmed that preliminary investigations were conducted, but so far, no leads have emerged. Police continue to urge anyone who may have seen a person matching Xhosana’s description, or who may have information about her whereabouts, to come forward.

Anyone with information that may assist in finding Linamandla Buhle Xhosana is asked to contact Ngcobo Branch Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Thembelani Mfundisi, at 082 441 8433. Information shared with police will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.

While Xhosana is not from Komani, police believe that spreading awareness across the broader Chris Hani District — including Komani and surrounding areas — could help generate leads. Residents are encouraged to share her description and contact details through community WhatsApp groups and social media platforms to aid in her safe return.
