One seriously injured after vehicle overturns between Komani and Dordrecht

A man was seriously injured after a single vehicle overturned on the R392 between Komani and Dordrecht on Friday evening.

The crash occurred at approximately 6pm on 17 July 2026. According to emergency services, a white Toyota Avanza reportedly lost control before overturning.

The male driver sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported by ambulance to Frontier Hospital for further medical care. A male passenger escaped without injuries and declined transportation to hospital.

Emergency Medical Services responded with multiple ambulances, while traffic officials and SAPS from Dubeni also attended the scene. Authorities confirmed there was no entrapment.

The cause of the crash has not yet been established, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Motorists travelling along the R392 between Komani and Dordrecht are urged to exercise caution.
