BLOOD ON THE DOORSTEP!

Bolothwa family cries: ‘Magaba, don’t rest until the killer is found!’

The peaceful village of Bolothwa, Komani in the Eastern Cape has been turned into a place of shadows and tears.

The brutal killing of Noxolo Nikiza Makhunzi has left her family shattered and the community trembling in fear. Her body was discovered lying cold just outside her own yard—a place that should have been her sanctuary.

A FAMILY IN PAIN

The air in the Makhunzi household is thick with sorrow. For the family, the pain is not just about the loss, but the mystery of who would want the bubbly Noxolo dead.

Speaking through their tears, the family sent a chilling message to the spirit of the deceased, invoking her clan name to find her killer.

“Ungaphumli ke Magaba engekaveli umenzi!” they cried. (Don’t rest, Magaba, until the doer is revealed!)

FROM SUDDEN DEATH TO MURDER

At first, the circumstances surrounding her death on 13 December were a mystery.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, told Komani News that the case took a dark turn after the doctors stepped in.

“Initially, an inquest docket was opened because there were no visible injuries on the body,” said Mgolodela. “But the postmortem results changed everything. The case has now been reclassified as murder.”

The Captain confirmed that while the motive is still unknown, the hunt for the heartless killer is on.

FEAR GRIPS THE VILLAGE

Neighbors in Bolothwa are now locking their doors early. Many described Noxolo as a person who didn’t deserve such a cruel end.

“We are shaken. We are living like prisoners while a killer walks among us,” said one terrified resident.

The police are pleading with anyone who might have seen something in the dark of that Friday night to speak up.
