Queenstown Girls’ High School has bid farewell to its headmaster, Mr Anaxagoras, who is retiring after nine years of service to the school.

Staff gathered at the end of Term 3 for a special farewell evening celebrating Anaxagoras and his contribution to the school during his time as headmaster.

The occasion featured a Greek-themed dinner catered by Johan Rheeders from Roche House, with staff and special guests reflecting on memories from the past nine years.

Farewell messages were delivered during the evening, while the school’s choir and isiXhosa Ensemble performed as part of the programme.

One of the significant moments of the evening was the presentation of a special gift painted by Mrs Maclean to mark Anaxagoras’ time at Queenstown Girls’ High.

The school thanked its outgoing headmaster for his leadership, commitment and contribution to the GHS community.
