Head-on collision leaves one dead near Whittlesea

One person was killed and four others injured in a head-on collision at Dyamala village in the Whittlesea area on Saturday evening. The crash occurred at about 7pm when two vehicles collided head-on.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a man, was declared dead at the scene. Four other people were injured, with two sustaining serious injuries and two suffering less serious injuries. All four were taken to Hewu Hospital for treatment.

Emergency services attended the scene, while Whittlesea SAPS was also present. One lane of the road was blocked following the crash. The circumstances leading to the collision were not provided.
