Komani Traffic Alert: Heavy Congestion Reported from Tarka Side
Komani, Eastern Cape – Commuters are facing major delays entering Komani from the Tarka side. A local commuter has sent Komani News a video showing vehicles lined up back-to-back, moving slowly into the town.
In addition, traffic in Komani’s Main Street is also heavily congested. Reports indicate taxis are double-parking, adding to delays for commuters travelling into the town from that side.
Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution, particularly in the current weather conditions, which could make the roads slippery and hazardous. Motorists are advised to remain patient, maintain safe distances, and avoid risky overtaking.
The congestion is causing frustration for many commuters, with long queues reported on key entry routes into both Komani and Queenstown. Emergency services and traffic officers are monitoring the situation, but no immediate solution has been confirmed to alleviate the heavy traffic.
Drivers planning to enter Komani are encouraged to consider alternate routes where possible or delay travel until traffic conditions improve. Commuters are reminded that safe driving is crucial, especially under adverse weather conditions.
