A truck transporting drinks overturned on the N6 national road approximately 30 kilometres before Stutterheim from the East London side on Thursdaymorning.

The crash is believed to have occurred at around 07:00, according to information received by Komani News.

Scene Draws Crowds Shortly After Crash

Motorists travelling along the busy N6 reported seeing the truck lying on its side, with drink crates scattered near the roadway. Traffic flow was affected as vehicles slowed down while passing the accident scene.

Shortly after the incident, members of the public were reportedly seen removing items from the truck, raising concerns about looting at the crash site.

Police Move In to Secure Area

Police and traffic officials were later observed at the scene as authorities worked to secure the area, manage traffic, and prevent further removal of goods from the overturned vehicle.
