According to the latest official update, work at the Nonesi Mall and Bhede line fault has reached an “advanced stage”, with completion expected this afternoon. The municipality has not yet confirmed an exact restoration time but indicated that the contractor is progressing steadily.

The outage affected parts of the commercial hub, with Nonesi Mall experiencing prolonged downtime since this morning’s fault report.

Power Restored in Other Areas

All other electrical faults reported earlier in the day have been resolved, and supply was restored to those sections of Komani. No additional outages have been reported at this stage.

Residents and businesses in the remaining affected areas are encouraged to prepare for supply return later today once the last repairs are completed.

Ongoing Infrastructure Pressure

This latest fault follows a series of electrical interruptions affecting different sections of Komani over the past two weeks. Ageing infrastructure, cable failures and excavation-related disruptions have contributed to a rise in service interruptions.

While the municipality has deployed teams across affected zones, the frequency of breakdowns continues to place operational pressure on response crews.
