Dutywa – Miss South Africa 2025, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, received an overwhelming and emotional welcome in Dutywa this afternoon as she arrived at the Mbhashe LG Mall. Residents, community leaders, supporters, and youth groups filled the mall precinct, cheering, singing, and celebrating her return.

Excitement and pride filled the atmosphere as hundreds gathered to witness the historic homecoming of one of Mbhashe’s brightest stars.

Executive Mayor Leads the Celebration

Mbhashe Local Municipality Executive Mayor Dr Samkelo Janda was among the first to greet Mazaleni, leading a municipal delegation that joined the community in honouring her achievement.

The mayor highlighted the significance of Mazaleni’s Miss South Africa title for the Eastern Cape, noting how her journey has inspired local young people and positively reflected the values of the region.
