EAST LONDON, EASTERN CAPE — Two evil skelms who brutally butchered an e-hailing driver, leaving his wife and newborn baby shattered, will now be kissing the cold walls of prison for 25 YEARS!
The East London Regional Court this week slammed the cell door shut on Lutho Nasiphi (30) and Bahle Nqomfe (26) after finding them guilty of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and kidnapping of dedicated driver Sibusiso Nogqola.
The chilling trial exposed the horror of October 13, 2022, when Nogqola left his home for work and never returned. His panicked wife alerted the car owner when her calls went unanswered. Using a tracker, the car was found dumped in the dangerous Bhebhele Street, Duncan Village, a place Nogqola was warned never to stop!
BLOOD BATH IN THE BACK SEAT!
When police finally opened the locked, stripped car, they found a gruesome scene: EXTENSIVE BLOODSTAINS splattered across the back seat and boot! DNA tests later confirmed the blood belonged to the poor victim, Nogqola.
State Prosecutor Sinovuyo Sotomela brought the heat, revealing how Nasiphi, Nqomfe, and an unknown man were seen piling into the victim’s car. They drove to a third suspect’s house, Xolela Mancam (who was later acquitted), to SMOKE DRUGS before Nasiphi and the unknown man heartlessly ripped off the number plates.
CRY OF THE DAMNED!
The court was gripped by the horrifying testimony of a witness who heard a man trapped inside the shaking vehicle, CRYING AND PLEADING REPEATEDLY, “OH MY CHILDREN, OH MY CHILDREN!” while the car alarm screamed!
The callous killers sped off, leaving the victim’s desperate cries for help hanging in the air. The next day, Nogqola’s lifeless body was found, riddled with a sickening FIFTEEN STAB WOUNDS! His heartbroken family later identified him at the mortuary.
Even though there was no single piece of direct evidence pointing to who held the knife, the court accepted the State’s argument that the duo acted in a COMMON PURPOSE to commit this unspeakable crime!
JUSTICE FOR THE FAMILY!
Both Nasiphi and Nqomfe shouted “Not Guilty!” and tried to deny their dirty deeds, but the court saw right through their lies and threw the book at them!
The judge handed down the following heavy sentences:

Murder: 25 years’ imprisonment

Robbery (aggravated): 12 years’ imprisonment

Kidnapping: 5 years’ imprisonment
Crucially, the court ruled that the sentences for robbery and kidnapping will run at the same time as the murder sentence, ensuring the duo faces a solid 25 years behind bars!
The Eastern Cape Director of Public Prosecutions cheered the sentences, calling it a warning shot against violent crime targeting workers. They praised the dedicated prosecutor and investigators for delivering justice for Nogqola and his grieving family.
