ANCYL to Lead Back to School, Right to Learn Campaigns in Chris Hani Region
The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) has confirmed that its Secretary General, Cde Tsakani Shiviti, will lead a series of programmes in the Chris Hani Region, Eastern Cape, on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.
The programmes form part of the ANCYL’s Back to School Campaign and Right to Learn Campaign, which are being rolled out in the region on the day.
According to information released by the ANCYL Chris Hani Region, the programme will begin with a Back to School visit at Kwa Komani Technical School in Komani during the morning. The visit is scheduled as part of the organisation’s Back to School Campaign.
Later in the day, the ANCYL leadership will proceed to Walter Sisulu University’s Steve Biko Branch for a Right to Learn Campaign engagement. During this engagement, the leadership will interact with students on matters relating to access to education and registration challenges.
The day’s programme will conclude with the ANCYL Chris Hani Regional Peter Mokaba Remembrance Rally, which will take place at the Sada Multi-Purpose Centre. The rally will focus on honouring the life and revolutionary legacy of Cde Peter Mokaba.
