ANC plans Ward 9 by-election activities in Chris Hani region

The African National Congress (ANC) in the Chris Hani Region has announced a series of activities in the Bathandwa Ndondo Sub-Region ahead of the upcoming Ward 9 by-elections.

According to information shared by the party, a community-focused programme will take place over the weekend of 11–12 April 2026 in Lower Lufuta voting district (VD).

A key feature of the programme is a soccer and netball tournament, scheduled to start at 09:00, aimed at bringing together young people, community members and political leaders.

The ANC says the event forms part of broader preparations for the by-election, combining political mobilisation with community activities.

  • A briefing session at Lower Lufuta Community Hall
  • A soccer tournament
  • Door-to-door campaigning in surrounding areas, including Mbodlane VD

  • Chris Hani Regional Secretary Andile Mini
