Siyavuya Village Elders Register as EFF Members

SIYAVUYA VILLAGE, TAMBO DISTRICT – Elderly residents of Siyavuya village in the Tambo District have formally registered as members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), according to the party’s Enoch Mgijima sub-region.

The registrations took place during a community engagement where elders invited EFF representatives into the village. During the interaction, community members shared their personal experiences and views regarding socio-economic conditions and governance.

According to the EFF, the elders expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling party, citing unfulfilled promises and a lack of improvement in their living conditions over the years.

They reportedly spoke about ongoing challenges related to poverty, access to services, and limited economic opportunities affecting their families and the broader community.

The EFF stated that the elders viewed their decision to register as members as an effort to reclaim their voices and participate more actively in political processes that affect their lives and those of future generations.

Party representatives said the elders indicated that they had not lost hope in the future of South Africa, despite their disappointment with current leadership. The EFF further claimed that the elders were drawn to the party’s positions on land reform, economic justice, and addressing inequality.

The gathering was described by the EFF as emotionally significant, with elders reflecting on their life experiences and aspirations for meaningful change in their community.
