Komani – Keeziah Essop stormed to victory in the EC Secondary Schools Championships, shattering records in the 100m and 200m events.
The talented sprinter clocked 11.80s in the 100m, surpassing the previous record of 12.17s, and 24.80s in the 200m, setting a new benchmark for the province.
Essop’s exceptional performance earned her the Best Overall Track Athlete title, solidifying her position as the province’s top sprinter.
