Executive Mayor Madoda Papiyana Tables 2024/25 Annual Report Before MPAC

Komani – The Executive Mayor of Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality, Cllr Madoda Papiyana, presented the municipality’s 2024/25 Annual Report to the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC).

The presentation, delivered during an MPAC sitting, outlined the municipality’s performance over the past financial year, highlighting key achievements, ongoing challenges and plans aimed at improving service delivery.

Focus on Service Delivery and Financial Management

During the session, Papiyana emphasised milestones achieved in service delivery, financial management and progress made towards meeting the municipality’s strategic objectives.

According to the municipality, the report reflects improvements in infrastructure development, enhanced community services and strengthened efforts to ensure financial sustainability.

The Mayor also addressed existing challenges, including resource constraints, noting the need for continued innovation and improved efficiency to meet the growing demands of residents across Komani and surrounding areas.

Strengthening Accountability and Governance

The tabling of the annual report before MPAC forms part of the municipality’s oversight and accountability processes. MPAC is responsible for reviewing financial and performance reports to ensure transparency and proper governance.
