ActionSA launches voter registration drive in Enoch Mgijima

ActionSA has announced a voter-registration assistance campaign for eligible residents across the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality ahead of the municipal elections on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.

The initiative is aimed particularly at residents who were unable to register during the two official voter-registration weekends.

According to ActionSA Chris Hani regional chairperson Lucky Kgosimere, party agents will help eligible residents register or update their details through the Electoral Commission of South Africa’s official voter-registration system.

Residents seeking assistance should have their South African identity document or smart ID card, residential address and cellphone number available.

Walk-in assistance will be offered at Extension 4, Ebaleni, in Whittlesea.

The campaign is open to eligible voters from across the Enoch Mgijima municipal area.

The IEC has confirmed that its online voter-registration portal remains available until the 2026 local government elections are officially proclaimed. Residents can also register, update their address or check their registration status through the official IEC voter portal.
