Power Update:Supply Restored in Some Areas of Komani as Repairs Planned for Others

The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality has provided an update on ongoing power interruptions affecting parts of Komani.

Blue Rise, KSM, and Central: Power Restored

Residents and businesses in Blue Rise, KSM, and Central can now expect normal electricity supply after a cable fault earlier disrupted service. Municipal teams confirmed that repairs were successfully completed, and supply has been fully restored.

Top Town, QC Junior, Frontier Hospital, GHS: Repairs Underway

In other affected areas, including Portion of Top Town, Queen’s College Junior, Frontier Hospital, and GHS, testing has identified two separate faults:

• One fault will be repaired through cable jointing

• The second fault requires replacement of 180 metres of cable

Municipal technicians are preparing to carry out these repairs as soon as possible. Residents and institutions in these areas are advised to remain patient while work is completed.
