Sihlahla Begins Duties as Municipal Manager.

Newly appointed Municipal Manager Andile Sihlahla was formally introduced to the municipality’s management team on Thursday morning, 1 October 2026.

Executive Mayor Cllr Madoda Papiyana introduced Sihlahla during a session which also served as the formal handover of office from former Acting Municipal Manager Aphiwe Mkhangelwa.

The municipality thanked Mkhangelwa for his leadership during the period in which he served as Acting Municipal Manager.

Following the handover, Sihlahla was introduced to staff across all departments at the municipality’s Komani offices.

Addressing management and employees on his first morning in office, Sihlahla committed to working collaboratively with the municipal leadership and staff to strengthen service delivery to the communities served by the municipality.

Management and staff across the municipality’s departments welcomed Sihlahla to his new position.

Sihlahla takes up the position of Municipal Manager and Accounting Officer of the municipality.
