Bolotwa SAPS honours top-performing officers for service excellence
The South African Police Service station in Bolotwa recently held a special appreciation event recognising officers and staff members for outstanding service and dedication to the community.
The event, hosted in the Bolotwa SAPS boardroom, was led by Station Commander Captain Xolani Vava, who praised members for their commitment to service excellence and community policing initiatives.
Key stakeholders attended the event, including representatives from District Corporate Communication, the local Farmers’ Association, and the Community Policing Forum. Speakers commended Capt. Vava for promoting stronger relationships between police and the community, as well as initiatives aimed at youth development.
One of the programmes highlighted during the event was Sport Against Crime, an initiative aimed at keeping young people engaged in positive activities and away from crime and substance abuse.
Certificates of appreciation were awarded to several members for their performance in different operational areas.
Among those recognised were Sgt V Khuse, named best-performing member in the fleet management section, Sgt V Tshunungwa for her work as Domestic Violence Coordinator, and Warrant Officer TK Siko for outstanding performance as a sector manager.
Several shift members were also honoured for their dedication, including Sgt SR Duda, Sgt A Manyambe, Constable Z Nokhonya, Constable A Maliti, and Constable P Switz.
Groundsman HM Zweni was also recognised for his contribution and work ethic.
Bolotwa SAPS further received recognition as the top-performing station in service excellence based on community feedback submitted through the MySAPS App.
Police said the event was aimed at celebrating achievements within the station while motivating members to continue serving the community with professionalism and dedication.
The recognition initiative comes as SAPS continues encouraging stronger partnerships between communities and law enforcement in efforts to combat crime and improve public trust in policing services.
