SAYC Elects New Leadership in Enoch Mgijima Branch

The South African Youth Council in the Chris Hani Region has announced the successful convening of its Enoch Mgijima Branch Assembly, where member organisations gathered to elect a new leadership structure for the municipality.

According to the organisation, the assembly was held through what it described as a democratic and transparent process involving delegates and member organisations from across the local municipality.

The meeting concluded with the election of a new Branch Executive Committee that will lead the organisation’s work in youth development, advocacy and coordination among youth organisations operating in the area.

The newly elected leadership consists of:

  • Chairperson: Bulumko Tshabalala
  • Deputy Chairperson: Mihlali Mthathi
  • Secretary: Aliziwe Jumba
  • Deputy Secretary: Sinesipho Ntshinka
  • Treasurer: Sinovuyo Futshane

Additional members elected to the committee are:

  • Lisakhanya Bucwa
  • Sisipho Mbandezelo
  • Nikho Mgole
  • Onwaba Swaartbooi
  • Vusumzi Matola

The regional structure congratulated the newly elected committee and said it looks forward to the team advancing youth development initiatives, strengthening cooperation among member organisations and advocating for the interests of young people across the Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality.

The organisation also thanked delegates, member organisations and stakeholders who participated in the assembly and contributed to its successful conclusion.
