Hangklip Primary Celebrates 56 Years of History and Growth
There was plenty to celebrate at Laerskool Hangklip Primary as the school marked 56 years at its current location, reflecting on decades of history, tradition and memories while looking ahead to the future.
The milestone was celebrated with a special treat for both learners and staff. Learners received delicious doughnuts, while staff members were spoiled with a Roman’s Pizza pie and a slice of birthday cake.
In a message shared by the school, Hangklip paid tribute to its rich history and the generations of learners who have walked through its gates over the past five decades.
“Laerskool Hangklip is rich in history, tradition, and countless special memories, and we look forward to many more wonderful years ahead.”
The school also expressed its appreciation to Mr Serfontein, whose generous contribution helped make the birthday celebrations possible.
“A special thank you to Mr. Serfontein for the generous spoils and for helping make the day extra special!” the school said.
Beyond celebrating its past, Hangklip has also been building for the future. The school has continued to grow and strengthen its presence in local sport, with ongoing investment in its sporting programme creating more opportunities for learners to participate and develop their talents both on and off the field.
The progress reflects a school that is not only proud of its heritage but is also focused on creating new opportunities for its learners both in the classroom and on the sports field.
As learners enjoyed their birthday treats and staff joined in the celebrations, the occasion served as a reminder of the important role the school has played in the community for more than half a century.
With 56 years behind it and new achievements still being added to its story, Hangklip’s journey continues.
