PHARMACIST’S GRINDR DATE TURNS INTO RAPE NIGHTMARE!
A 35-year-old Komani pharmacist is living in fear and trauma after a search for affection ended in horror at a local guest house.
The man, a well-known professional in the private sector, says he was raped by a man he met on the dating app Grindr.
LOOKING FOR LOVE
The victim, a closeted bisexual man, told Komani News that finding a partner is difficult. He turned to the app hoping for a discreet connection.
He arranged to meet a man at a guest house in Komani for a consensual encounter. But things quickly went wrong.
Instead of affection, the pharmacist was forced into a violent ordeal against his will.
HEALER TURNED MONSTER
The man accused of this terrible act is a professional nurse and medical student.
The victim says it is shocking that someone trusted to care for patients could do such a thing.
A criminal case has been opened at Komani SAPS and is currently under investigation.
HARASSMENT AFTER THE HORROR
To make matters worse, the alleged attacker tried to contact the victim after the incident.
The suspect sent WhatsApp messages and made calls trying to apologise. The pharmacist rejected these messages and reported them straight to the investigating officer.
ANGELS IN UNIFORM
Despite the trauma, the victim praised the local authorities.
He thanked the Komani SAPS and staff at Frontier Hospital for treating him with kindness and professionalism during his darkest hour.
He says he is speaking out to warn others about the dangers of online dating and to show that sexual violence can happen to anyone.
