Molteno, Eastern Cape — Three people were injured in a motor vehicle accident on the R56 outside Molteno on Saturday morning, 10 January 2026, after a minibus taxi overturned.

The incident occurred at approximately 07:20 on the R56. According to information from the scene, a Toyota Quantum lost control and overturned on the side of the road. The vehicle did not obstruct the roadway.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene and carried out assessments on those involved. Three injured occupants were transported to Molteno Hospital for medical treatment. The driver was assessed at the scene but declined transportation.
