Queen’s College Boys Selected for Border Cricket Teams

Queen’s College Boys’ High School has announced the selection of several of its young cricketers to represent Border Cricket (Iinyathi Cricket) at upcoming national tournaments in December. The selections highlight the ongoing development of cricketing talent at the school.

U16 Cricketers Selected for Paarl Tournament

Two U16 players from Queen’s College, Mtokozisi Mbambo and Siphosenkosi Mjekula, have been chosen to represent the Border Cricket / Iinyathi Cricket team at the CSA U16 Cricket Week, which will be held in Paarl from 4 to 9 December 2025.

Their inclusion follows a strong season of performance and dedication to the sport. The school expressed pride in the players’ selection, congratulating them for earning a place at one of the country’s most competitive youth tournaments.

U15 Players Chosen for Pretoria Tournament

Queen’s College also celebrated the inclusion of six U15 cricketers who will represent Border Cricket and Impala Cricket in the upcoming provincial tournament in Pretoria, taking place from 3 to 8 December 2025.

The players are divided between two Cricket squads: the Impala Team and the Elephant Team. Representing the Impala Team are Ali Asim and Kungawo Zukiso, while the Elephant Team includes Amila Maselana, Mangaliso Mbaligontsi, Phumelela Mavi, and John Schmidt.

A Proud Moment for Queen’s College

The school congratulated all the selected players on their achievements and wished them success as they prepare to compete against some of South Africa’s top young cricket talent.

The selections continue Queen’s College’s strong record of developing skilled cricketers who go on to represent the region and province at higher levels.
