Two killed in collision between Komani and Whittlesea

Two people died and three others, including a four-year-old girl, were taken to hospital after a head-on collision on the R67 between Komani and Whittlesea on Saturday, 26 September 2026.

Emergency services responded at about 13:00. A man and a woman travelling in one of the vehicles died at the scene. Rescue and medical personnel attended to the people involved in the collision.

A woman, a man and the four-year-old girl were transported by ambulance to Queenstown Private Hospital. Their conditions after arriving at hospital were not immediately available.

Police, traffic officers, ambulance crews and rescue teams attended the scene. Forensic pathology services and police crime scene personnel were also called out.
