Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Forecast for Komani on Wednesday

Komani residents are being advised to keep umbrellas and rain jackets close at hand on Wednesday, with showers, heavy rainfall and possible evening thunderstorms forecast for the town.

According to weather forecasts, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 18°C during the day before dropping to a chilly 7°C overnight.

The day is expected to begin mostly cloudy, with rain becoming more widespread during the afternoon. Forecasters predict that some showers could be heavy at times, with around 7.6mm of rainfall possible during the day.

There is an 81% chance of rain and a 23% chance of thunderstorms, with cloud cover expected to remain high throughout the day.

Light south-easterly winds of around 7km/h are forecast, although gusts could reach 28km/h.

Evening Storm Risk

Residents should remain alert during the evening hours as thundershowers are expected to develop across the area.

A further 6.1mm of rainfall is forecast overnight, with a 69% chance of precipitation and a 21% chance of thunderstorms.

While severe weather is not currently expected, wet roads and reduced visibility could make travel conditions more challenging, particularly during the late afternoon and evening commute.

Cooler Winter Conditions Continue

Wednesday’s forecast temperatures remain slightly above Komani’s average June daytime temperature of around 16°C, although overnight conditions will remain cold.

With sunset expected at 5:16pm, residents are encouraged to plan outdoor activities earlier in the day and take precautions against wet and slippery conditions.
