R410 Nonesi Cuttings Reopened After Rockfall Cleared
Motorists are advised that the R410 at Nonesi Cuttings has been cleared by Sanral and is now open for traffic.
Earlier, sections of the roadway were obstructed by rocks that had slid from the slopes alongside the pass after recent heavy rains.
This created a hazardous situation for drivers, with loose rocks and debris partially covering the road.
Sanral teams responded quickly to remove the fallen rocks and ensure the roadway was safe.
While the road is now open, drivers are urged to continue exercising caution when travelling this stretch, particularly during wet conditions, as rain can still cause rocks or debris to shift unexpectedly.
Motorists are reminded to reduce speed, stay alert, and drive safely while navigating Nonesi Cuttings.
