Police Arrest Three After Sergeant Found Stabbed 14 Times in Ngcobo

COPS NAB TRIO AFTER DETECTIVE KILLED IN BRUTAL NECK-SLASH ATTACK!

Ngcobo – A dark cloud hangs over Ngcobo this week after a dedicated police detective, Sergeant Luxolo Ndaba, was ambushed and brutally murdered in a shocking act of violence that has left the community reeling.

The body of the Ngcobo detective was found in the early hours of Sunday morning (07/12/2025) next to his black Opel Astra on a desolate gravel road in Mdeni village, Tsazo A/A. The motive for the merciless killing is still unclear, but police have vowed to leave no stone unturned to uncover the truth.

THE BARBARIC ATTACK!

The scene was one of profound shock and horror for the first responders. Sgt Ndaba, a man dedicated to upholding the law, was subjected to a ferocious and inhumane assault. He was found lying in his own blood, having suffered horrific injuries, including a devastating SLASH to his throat and a total of FOURTEEN stab wounds delivered to his upper back and the back of his neck.

This kind of chilling brutality against a man who served the community has sparked outrage across the province, with politicians and ordinary citizens demanding immediate justice.

MEC: “EXTREMELY THRILLED” BY ARRESTS!

The MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Xolile Ngatha, did not mince his words when he described the crime as a “barbaric murder”.

MEC Ngatha expressed his “profound shock” at the brutal act and conveyed his deepest and heartfelt condolences to Sergeant Ndaba’s bereaved family and his colleagues in the police service, who have lost a committed member.

However, the MEC’s condemnation was quickly followed by praise for the brave men and women in blue who tracked down the alleged culprits.

“I am extremely thrilled that the police have apprehended the three suspects who allegedly committed this heinous crime,” MEC Ngatha said in a statement released on Tuesday (09/12/2025).

THROW AWAY THE KEY!

The swift arrests have brought a ray of hope that justice will be served. “We hope that their arrests will lead to a successful prosecution so that the bereaved families can find justice and closure,” the MEC added.

Community leaders in Ngcobo have backed the MEC’s statement, calling for the harshest possible sentence for the suspects. “Anyone who slashes a police officer’s throat in cold blood must be locked up for life! They should throw away the key!” shouted an unnamed community activist.

The three suspects are expected to appear in court soon to answer for the brutal killing of Sergeant Ndaba.
