The Queen’s College Old Boys’ Association (QCOBA) has once again launched its highly anticipated Progressive Bonanza Draw 2025, an event that blends tradition, community spirit, and global support from Old Boys around the world. With 3 018 tickets sold across 31 countries, this year’s draw promises to be one of the most successful in recent history.

Massive Cash Prizes Up for Grabs

The Progressive Bonanza Draw will see five lucky winners share 50% of the total ticket proceeds — with prizes reaching impressive figures. As of the latest update, the top five payouts stand as follows at time of publication:

• 25% – R188 625

• 10% – R75 450

• 7% – R52 815

• 5% – R37 725

• 3% – R22 635

Tickets are priced at R250 each, and buyers can purchase multiple entries to increase their chances of winning. Remarkably, participants are not limited by age or location — entries are open to Queen’s College learners, Old Boys, and the general public, both locally and abroad.

How the Draw Works

The Progressive Draw Format ensures transparency and excitement. Half of all ticket sales are allocated to prize money, while the other half supports draw expenses and QCOBA initiatives that benefit Queen’s College.

Winners are selected using an electronic draw system, where the final five tickets remaining determine the winners. The final ticket drawn secures the 25% jackpot, and all results will be broadcast live on the QCOBA Facebook page.

Accountants will verify the process to ensure fairness and accuracy. Should ticket sales fall below expectations, QCOBA reserves the right to cancel the draw and refund ticket holders.

Early Bird Draws and Exciting Incentives

In addition to the main jackpot, QCOBA hosts Early Bird Draws throughout the campaign. These smaller draws reward early supporters with cash prizes. Each ticket purchased before a specified date automatically qualifies for the Early Bird Draws — and winners remain eligible for the main event.

Recent class participation has been outstanding, with the Class of 1983 leading sales at 184 tickets, followed by 1991 with 151, and 1992 with 118. This friendly competition underscores the enduring bond within the Queen’s College community.

The cut-off time for entries is 16:00 on Friday, 31 October 2025, with the live draw starting at 07:30. Winners will be contacted on the same evening or within the following week, and prizes will be paid via EFT.
