The local municipality has reported notable progress in its smart meter installation project, aimed at improving electricity management and service delivery for residents across the region.

The project, which involves installing a total of 15,000 smart meters, has reached 64% completion. To date, 9,543 meters have been successfully installed. This leaves 5,457 meters remaining to be installed before the project reaches full completion.
