Enoch Mgijima Municipality Hosts Civic Education Programme in Ilinge.

Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality hosted a Civic Education Programme at the Ilinge Multi-Purpose Hall on Friday, 9 October 2026, under the theme “Educated Citizens, Stronger Communities.”

The programme aimed to educate residents about the role and responsibilities of local government while encouraging greater public participation in municipal decision-making processes.

Key focus areas included the functions of local government, the role of Ward Committees, the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and the municipal budget process.

The event also provided a platform for community members to share their views, raise concerns and engage on matters affecting their communities.
