Three Learners Stabbed in Ndlovukazi High School Fight

Three learners sustained stab wounds during a fight at Ndlovukazi High School in Lesseyton on Monday, 24 August 2026.

SAPS spokesperson Captain Yolisa Mgolodela confirmed the incident to Komani News on Monday morning.

“Komani police can attest to 3 (three) learners having sustained stab wounds during a faction fight at Ndlovukazi High School, Lesseyton,” Mgolodela said.

She said members of Komani Social Crime Prevention had attended the school following the incident.

“The situation is calm. Police are monitoring the situation closely to avoid further attacks,” Mgolodela said.

Police have not yet provided further information on the condition of the three injured learners or whether any arrests have been made.

Monday’s incident comes after previous reports of violence at the same school earlier this year.

In March, Daily Dispatch reported that two learners had been hospitalised following violence involving learners and community members at Ndlovukazi High School.

The publication reported that weapons, including pangas and steel rods, had allegedly been used during the earlier clashes.

At the time, SAPS also confirmed to Daily Dispatch that cases of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and public violence were being investigated.

A later Daily Dispatch report referred to tensions between learners and residents from different villages in connection with the earlier violence.

There is currently no confirmation from SAPS that Monday’s incident is connected to the incidents reported in March.

Police said the situation at the school was calm on Monday and that they would continue monitoring the area to prevent further attacks.
