Residents and commuters say the situation has deteriorated over the past two days, with no traffic officer reportedly present at the busy intersection between 07:00 and just before 08:00 — a period typically associated with heavy traffic flow as people travel to work and school.

Commuters report long delays

Motorists using the route have described unusually long waiting times and significant traffic build-up, with some indicating that the absence of traffic control has led to confusion and slower movement through the intersection.

The intersection is known to experience congestion during peak hours, but commuters say that the presence of traffic officers in the past has helped manage the flow effectively.

Without that visible traffic management, drivers say conditions have become increasingly difficult over the past two mornings.
