The once-functional police offices in Bert Strauss, Komani, lies in ruins, a testament to the devastating consequences of neglect and decay.

Komani News visited the deserted complex, revealing a scene of utter disarray.

Vandals have stripped the building of its cables, leaving the premises vulnerable to further damage.

Water gushes from a burst air-conditioning duct, flooding the hallway and leaving the tiled floor slick with stagnant water.

The interior is a shadow of its former self, with debris scattered everywhere, broken wood panels, and tiled walls bearing the scars of abandonment.

A former bathroom, once a hub of activity, now houses a grimy bathtub filled with murky water and debris, its blue paint peeling off the walls.

A small office, once a hub of official activity, lies in disarray, with broken cardboard, scattered papers, and plastic wrapping littering the floor.

The ceiling, once a proud structure, now lies in tatters, exposing wooden roof trusses and structural beams to the elements.

Local authorities remain tight-lipped, leaving businesses in Bert Strauss to wonder about the future of the facility.

The businesses are fearing that the place will be home to criminals.
