Refuse Collection Schedule Adjusted for December and January Public Holidays

Komani – Residents are advised to take note of slight changes to refuse removal schedules during the December 2025 and January 2026 public holidays. The municipality has confirmed that while most collections will continue as normal, certain days will be adjusted to accommodate the festive season.

Tuesday, 16 December 2025

Refuse collection will be carried out as normal in the following areas:

• Central

• Livingstone Bluerise

• Ezibeleni Zone 2

• Mlungisi

• Bongweni

• Q Section

Thursday, 25 December 2025 (Christmas Day)

Collections scheduled for this day will be moved to Saturday, 27 December 2025.

• Sabata

• Victoria Park

• Parkvalle

• Nomzamo

• Zakhele

• Railway 1 & 2

• Eskom

• Magxaki

• Mabuyaze

Friday, 26 December 2025 (Day of Goodwill)

Collections will be moved to Sunday, 28 December 2025.

• Queensview Park

• Lauriedashwood

• Temba

• Cancele

• Komani Heights

• Nkululekweni

• New Valley

• Khayelitsha

Thursday, 1 January 2026 (New Year’s Day)

Collections will be moved to Saturday, 3 January 2026.

• Zakhele

• Railway 1 & 2

• Eskom

• Magxaki

• Mabuyaze

All Other Days

Refuse collection will continue as normal on all other days not listed above.

Residents are encouraged to place their refuse out on the revised collection days to avoid missed pickups and to help keep Komani clean during the festive period.
