Advanced Technology for Faster Power Repairs

The vehicle is equipped with specialised cable-testing equipment capable of detecting normal cable faults as well as open circuits. Municipal teams can now quickly locate and address problems, reducing the time it takes to restore electricity to affected areas.

Reducing Dependence on Contractors

Previously, the municipality relied heavily on external contractors for cable testing. This dependency often caused lengthy delays in restoring power to residents and businesses. The introduction of the in-house testing machine allows the municipality to take control of its electrical maintenance, improving response times and reliability.

This initiative is part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery and infrastructure maintenance. Residents can expect faster response times for electrical issues, ensuring that communities across Enoch Mgijima receive a more dependable electricity supply.
