BMW Crashes Off N6 Near Komani, Schoolboy Escapes Unhurt
A BMW ended up off the road after the driver lost control on the N6 near the Lessyton turn-off, just outside Komani, on Friday, 16 January.
Scary Ride to School
The crash caused a major scare for the occupants, including a young schoolboy who was on his way to school at the time. While many learners across Komani were starting their school day, the vehicle suddenly veered off the road and came to rest in the grass alongside the busy national route.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and found the car off the roadway. No one was trapped inside the vehicle, allowing responders to assist those involved without complications. The schoolboy was fortunately unharmed and was able to continue to school after the incident.
Emergency Services Respond
Several emergency response teams and ambulances attended the scene, leading to temporary slow-moving traffic along the N6 as they worked. The situation was quickly brought under control by responders.
All occupants were later taken to Hospital in Komani for further medical checks.
Cause Still Under Investigation
The circumstances surrounding why the driver lost control of the vehicle are still being investigated. Authorities have not yet released further details.
Motorists are urged to remain cautious on the N6, particularly during morning travel times when traffic volumes are high around Komani.
