Residents in Komani are being advised of an upcoming long-term road closure on Victoria Road, as construction work gets underway in the area.

According to information issued by Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality in partnership with Quadrant Holdings, a section of Victoria Road will be closed to traffic to allow for paving upgrades.

Closure Details

The affected route stretches from Ngoma Street to Derby Street, covering the section near Indoor and Luvuyo Lerumo School.

Detour Routes Announced

To manage traffic flow, two main detour options have been provided:

Detour 1:
Vehicles can travel between Victoria Road and the Art Centre, connecting to the new paved road into Banise Street. The route continues via 702, Matshikiza Street, and Top Street, eventually linking back to Ngoma Street.

Detour 2:
Motorists can use a route passing through park homes behind Luvuyo Lerumo School and Louis Rex, connecting into New Rest via Bells Road.

Road users are advised to follow signage and remain alert for detours throughout the construction period.
