Nonkqubela Pieters Unharmed After Vehicle Crash on N2

Eastern Cape MEC for Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Nonkqubela Pieters, was involved in a vehicle accident on the N2 between East London and Mdantsane yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 15h40, but fortunately, MEC Pieters emerged unscathed.

According to officials, Pieters underwent a precautionary medical assessment and is in good health. The circumstances surrounding the accident are unclear, and investigations are likely to follow.

Pieters’ office has assured the public that she is continuing with her duties and commitments. “We are relieved that the MEC is safe and sound,” said Mandisa Nohashe, Head of Office for the MEC.

The accident has raised concerns about road safety on the busy N2 route.
