Several Injured in N6 Crash About 10km Outside Komani
A serious motor vehicle accident occurred on the N6 route approximately 10 kilometres outside Komani towards Cathcart on Friday morning, leaving several people injured and requiring a coordinated emergency response.

Emergency services confirmed that the collision took place at around 10:15 and involved a rear-end collision between a Toyota Quantum minibus taxi and an Isuzu bakkie.

The accident happened on a busy stretch of the N6 frequently used by commuters travelling in and out of Komani.
Rescue and Emergency Response
On arrival, emergency responders found that two patients were trapped inside the vehicles. Rescue teams used the Jaws of Life to safely extricate the trapped occupants.
The scene was stabilised while medical teams assessed and treated the injured.
EMS Response and Hospital Transport
Emergency medical services confirmed that five people were injured in the collision and were transported to Frontier Hospital for medical treatment.
At the time of publication, no fatalities had been reported.
Traffic Disruptions and Road Safety Warning
Traffic along the N6 was temporarily slowed while emergency crews worked to clear the scene and remove damaged vehicles. Motorists were advised to proceed with caution in the area.
