The Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality is inviting residents to lace up their hiking shoes and join the much-anticipated Longhill Hike, set to take place on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at the scenic Longhill Mountain near Komani.

The event promises an enjoyable and family-friendly morning filled with breath-taking views, community spirit, and healthy outdoor activity.

Participants will gather at Sunny Side, which serves as the meeting point before the group begins the two-hour hike — one hour up the hill and another hour down. The hike is designed to be manageable for people of all fitness levels, making it a perfect outing for families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts.

Affordable fees and tasty treats

Registration for the Longhill Hike is open until 20 November 2025, with payments being accepted at the Gardens offices.

  • Children pay R40, also with a boerewors roll included.
