Recovered Stolen Items in Komani: Residents Asked to Identify Their Property

Residents of Komani are being urged to check for recently recovered stolen property after a known housebreaker, referred to as “Ace,” was arrested on Monday, 17 November. Investigators located multiple items believed to have been stolen over the past three weeks and are asking the public to help identify their belongings.

Recovered Items from Various Locations

Following the arrest, Safeguard Security Services and their Tactical Response team recovered property from the suspect’s sleeping area and other locations. The items are believed to have come from several incidents reported across the town, including:

• Berry Street – gas bottle, charger, alcohol, and food

• Hillside Drive – three solar lights

• Batchelor Street – children’s shoes

• Reservoir Street – spare wheel stolen from a vehicle

• Milner Street – tools taken from a bakkie

• Horwood Street – packaged meat from a fridge, valued at approximately R5 000

• Additional items whose origin could not be immediately confirmed

Residents are encouraged to carefully review this list to see if any items belong to them.

How to Claim Recovered Property

Anyone who recognises items or has recently been a victim of theft is asked to contact Safeguard Security Services at 045 011 0212. The team will require sufficient details to confirm ownership before returning the items to the rightful owner.

Case in Police Custody

The suspect has been detained at Komani SAPS for further investigation. Authorities are working to link the recovered items to reported incidents and encourage residents to come forward promptly to identify any property.
