Chris Hani District Municipality Welcomes New Councillor

KOMANI – Chris Hani District Municipality has officially welcomed Councillor Spokazi Wana as a new member of council following a swearing-in ceremony held on Monday morning.

The municipality announced Wana’s appointment, saying she was officially sworn in during a ceremony officiated by Municipal Manager Gcobani Mashiyi.

According to the municipality, Wana took the oath of office, affirming her commitment to uphold the prescripts of the Constitution and to serve communities across the Chris Hani District Municipality to the best of her abilities.

The swearing-in marks Wana’s formal entry into the district municipality’s council, where she will join other councillors in carrying out the responsibilities of local government within the district.

In its announcement, Chris Hani District Municipality extended a welcome to Wana and encouraged residents to join in welcoming her to the council.

The ANC Chris Hani Region also congratulated Wana on her appointment. The organisation noted that Wana serves as its Regional Deputy Secretary and congratulated her on being officially sworn in as a new member of council at Chris Hani District Municipality.
