Another Cow Crash on N6 Near Lesseyton Leaves One Injured
A man was injured after a vehicle struck a cow on the N6 near Lesseyton Village outside Komani on Sunday morning, adding to growing concerns about livestock-related accidents on the busy national route.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 09:00 on 7 June 2026 following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a cow.
According to emergency responders, the crash occurred on the N6 near Lesseyton. A male occupant sustained minor injuries and was transported to Frontier Hospital for medical treatment.
No entrapments or fatalities were reported.
SAPS, EMS personnel and a breakdown service responded to the incident.
While the injured man’s condition was not believed to be serious, the latest collision has once again highlighted the dangers posed by livestock roaming onto the N6.
The stretch of road near Lesseyton has become increasingly associated with crashes involving cattle, with motorists regularly reporting cows grazing close to or crossing the roadway, particularly during the early morning and evening hours.
