Little Asiphumeze George Missing — Public Urged to Help
Search Intensifies for Missing 4-Year-Old Girl from Elliot
A desperate search is underway in Khowa (formerly Elliot) after four-year-old Asiphumeze George went missing earlier this month. The little girl, affectionately known in the community as “Little George,” was last seen on 1 November 2025 while playing near her home in the Polar Park area.
According to local reports, Asiphumeze was seen playing with a local resident before she disappeared. Since then, her family, neighbours, and community volunteers have been searching tirelessly, but she remains unlocated nearly two weeks later.
Community Efforts and Appeal for Assistance
The community of Khowa and surrounding areas have joined forces in a massive search effort. Posters featuring Asiphumeze’s photo have been distributed widely across the Eastern Cape, and residents are urged to remain alert for any sign of the missing child.
A reward of R5,000 has been offered for any credible information that leads to her safe return. The public is urged to share verified information and assist the family in any way possible.
A local community member who is helping coordinate the search, said that everyone is praying for the child’s safe return and that no lead will be ignored.
“We ask every person in and around Khowa to check their surroundings, ask questions, and report any information immediately,” Malungisa said. “This child could be anywhere, and every minute counts.”
