Three injured after vehicle overturns on R410

Three people were injured when a vehicle overturned on the R410 on Thursday evening, 6 August.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 18:54.

Emergency personnel found three occupants at the scene. According to the first responders, one person sustained serious injuries, another suffered moderate injuries, and the third sustained minor injuries.

Two of the injured occupants were transported by ambulance to Glen Grey Hospital for further assessment and medical treatment.

No one was trapped inside the vehicle, allowing emergency personnel to assist the occupants without conducting an extraction operation.

Several emergency and road-response vehicles were deployed to the scene while the injured occupants were assessed and the crash site was attended to.

The circumstances leading to the vehicle overturning were not provided, and it remains unclear whether road or weather conditions contributed to the crash.

Motorists travelling along the route are urged to exercise caution, particularly after dark and in areas where visibility may be limited.
