Residents of the Emalahleni Local Municipality have been urged to remain calm and allow law enforcement agencies to deal with issues relating to undocumented immigration ahead of the planned nationwide “March and March” protests expected on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

In a public notice issued on Monday, 29 June, the municipality said it had been made aware of the protest action being organised by the March and March civic movement across the country. The municipality acknowledged public concerns regarding undocumented migrants but warned against members of the public taking the law into their own hands.
